Finally a drill chuck book that isn't a catalog. I've been a service technician for fifteen years and I still learned things about taper fits and why keyless chucks slip under heavy load. The chapter on troubleshooting alone saved me a few hours this week on a sticky chuck. I wish I had this when I started out.

Bought this for our shop's reference shelf, and it's already dog-eared. The section explaining the difference between a Jacobs taper and a threaded mount cleared up a lot of confusion for our newer guys. The writing is straightforward, no fluff. Even the business chapter surprised me with some solid advice on buying used chucks to recondition. Five stars.
