I'll admit, this is thorough, and I learned a lot about load ratings and frame joints that I hadn't considered. But I was hoping for a clearer ranking of which stroller is best for a small senior dog. It intentionally avoids declaring a single winner, which is probably the point of a reference book, but a reader in a hurry might feel a bit lost. Good for the money, but not a quick read.

Work at a vet clinic and we were making do with a stroller that was never meant for a 20kg retriever. The specification chapter helped our practice manager purchase something rigid enough, and the restraint guidelines are now printed and laminated in our waiting area. This is the only pet product reference I've seen that treats the user like a competent professional.

There's some very useful content in here about folding mechanisms and proper cleaning, and the troubleshooting section is spot on. However, the author's tone leans toward the opinionated side, even while claiming neutrality, and the business opportunities chapter assumes you have capital to invest in inventory. For a dedicated enthusiast like me, sections were too heavy on commercial logistics. Still, I keep it on the shelf for the maintenance schedules.

I bought this before setting up a small stroller rental service for elderly dogs in my neighborhood, and the margin analysis in chapter six alone was worth the price. The explanation of static versus dynamic load ratings stopped me from purchasing a unit that would have failed within a month. I have one mixed feeling: it could use a quick-reference appendix, but otherwise it's solid.
