It's not an exciting read, but it's an indispensable one if you're accountable for the medical supplies you buy. I wish I'd had this handbook ten years ago.

Solid reference. The chapter on choosing the right depressor is genuinely helpful, and I liked that it addressed hobbyists and makers, not just clinical staff. I docked a star because a few sections on regulatory compliance feel a bit US-centric, and I'd have liked a bit more detail on international standards. That said, it's well-written, dense with facts, and the FAQ section answered three questions I've had for months. A good addition to the shelf.

I got some useful facts on birch vs. basswood, but no, it's not the 'complete' handbook I was hoping for.
